A look

You know the feeling you get when someone is looking at you?

There aren't words to describe it, but you just know that someone's eyes are on YOU.... right now. Immediately you turn in all directions until you find the source of the tension, searching the faces all around in hopes that you're not completely crazy.

Then it happens.

At that precise moment in time your heartbeat is in the back of your throat and breathing becomes erratic. The chain reaction continues as sweat suddenly trickles down your brow and your hands become shaky.

Words escape you. What's your name again?

You can't feel your feet and would in fact trip if you were forced to move from that stance you're planted in.

With time standing still, you wonder how long you've been staring into those eyes and break the gaze once the feeling overwhelms you to the extent of dyspnea.

One look. That's all it takes.
